2nd IHPST and 6th EDIFE

Summer School for PhD students

 

 

The IHPST 2011 conference in Thessaloniki will also host a joint Summer School for PhD students. In 2009 at the IHPST Conference in Notre Dame, USA a first meeting for PhD students in History, Philosophy and Science Teaching took place. Carrying forward this experience, in Thessaloniki this international summer school meets with the Greek Science Education Association (EDIFE) Summer School for PhD students. In the joint Summer School, researchers, starting their PhD or during their PhD research, are welcome to participate and share their projects and ideas with senior researchers and academics.

 

Participants may send their submission by February 19th, 2011 to: ihpst2011@eled.auth.gr

 

Submission should include: Title, abstract (500 words), research questions (200 words) and key-research-difficulties facing at the moment (200 words).

 

After submission selection, summer school participants are also invited to submit a paper (3,000 4,000 words) for the Conference Proceedings. All submissions should be in MS Word using Times New Roman 12pt and following the style of the Science & Education journal. Papers (3,000 - 4,000 words) for the proceedings should be sent till April 30th, 2011 to: ihpst2011@eled.auth.gr

 

NOTE: Summer School sessions are going to be part of the Conference sessions and may be attend by all conference participants. Summer School paper presentations are considered to be Conference Presentations.
