Guidelines for Submissions

All academics, researchers and teachers interested in participating to the 11th International and 6th Greek History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Joint Conference should submit title, abstract (500 words) and a proposal draft (1500 words) by February 19, 2011. The proposal draft should be an extended summary of the submitted paper (references included). All submissions should be in MS Word using Times New Roman 12pt and following the style of the Science & Education journal. In brief this means first line, title (upper and lower case, bold); second line, authorís name (upper and lower case, bold); third line, institution and email.

All proposals will be reviewed by members of the scientific committee of the conference. After review, the accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference Book of Abstracts.

Abstracts (500 words) and proposal drafts (1500 words) should be sent by February 19th, 2011 to: ihpst2011@eled.auth.gr.

Two files should be submitted as Word attachments with files named using authorís family name or surname. Thus one labeled SURNAME_ABSTRACT, the other labeled SURNAME_PROPOSAL. Thus, smith_abstract.doc, smith_proposal.doc. The abstract file of successful proposals will be used in the Conference Abstract Book.

Panel proposals are also encouraged. These could have 3-5 presenters. An abstract is required, panelists should be identified, and the file should be labeled SURNAME_PANEL.

Authors of successful proposals will be invited to submit a paper (3,000 - 4,000 words) for the Conference Proceedings. All submissions should be in MS Word using Times New Roman 12pt and following the style of the Science & Education journal.

Papers (3,000 - 4,000 words) for the proceedings should be sent till April 30th, 2011 to: ihpst2011@eled.auth.gr

A Conference Book of Proceedings will be published and distributed during the Thessaloniki IHPST2011 Conference and will also appear on line at the conference website: http://ihpst2011.eled.auth.gr
